「Balearic」这个词只能意会，无法明说。地理上而言，巴利亚利群岛 (Balearic Islands) 是位于西地中海的一片群岛，是西班牙的自治区之一。

这词来自八零年代晚期的 Ibiza 小岛，有些 DJ 会混合了「弛放、沙发、意大利迪斯可、酸浩室、电子流行乐、环境音乐」，甚至「灵魂、雷鬼、摇滚、拉丁」等各类型的音乐给舞客听。拍子比较慢，低于 122 BPM，让大家感受放鬆愉快，搭配海岛的阳光。

所以「Balearic」的音乐风格就是凉凉的、轻鬆愉快的、可以跳舞的，有海岛的感觉，有海鸥声、有热带风......此外无法明说。
